Spratton Remembers The Great War 1914-1918

The village of Spratton, Northamtonshire is to commemorate all those from their community who served in the Great War of 1914-1918. The date chosen is 100 years exactly since Spratton resident, Lt William Rhodes-Moorhouse RFC made the daring but fatal flight that earned him the Victoria Cross.

2.45pm Keynote talk on the Great War by Vernon Creek of the RAF Museum

11.30am-1.00pm Women and the Great War
An amusing and moving talk with a unique display of original costumes by History Wardrobe
2.00pm-2.30pm Talk on LT William Rhodes Moorhouse VC RFC
3.05 Flypast of BE2b from Sywell Aerodome (weather permitting)
